Tamikia D. Cornwell, 44, of Elkhart passed away at 1:39 a.m. Sunday, June 20, 2010 in Elkhart General Hospital.

Tamikia was born Dec. 6, 1965 in South Bend to the late Tommie and Bonnie (Hamm) Brubaker. On Sept. 8, 1984 she married Russell J. Cornwell.

She is survived by two sons, Russell (Stephanie) Cornwell Jr. and Troy (Deangela) Cornwell, both of Elkhart; five grandchildren, Alex, Calvyn, Rylee, Zoey and Shayle; and two sisters, Jay (Sidney) Lowe and Dusty (Arthur) Poarch, both of Elkhart.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Russell, who passed away Feb. 24, 2010; and grandson, Zachary Cornwell, who passed Nov. 11, 2008.

She was a devoted loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was a beautiful, green-eyed angel who cared for everyone.

There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
