Kathryn E. Gebhard, 52, of Kenai Alaska, died Wednesday May 5, 2010 at 7:50 p.m. at the Elkhart Hospice House.

She was born on Aug. 19, 1957 in Newark, Ohio, to Richard and Eleanor (Grubaugh) Tyhurst.
On Nov. 18, 1985 in Anchorage, Alaska, she married Michael E. Gebhard, who survives.

She is also survived by a sister, Carolyn (Warren) Sipos of Middletown, Ohio and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Elanor Tyhurst and four brothers.
She was formerly employed as a technical records clerk at Era Helicopters in Anchorage and enjoyed sewing and fishing.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Soldotna, Alaska.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date in Kenai Alaska.

At her request, she was cremated and remains will be scattered in Resurrection Bay in Seward, Alaska.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to The Leeshore Center, 325 South Spruce St., Kenai, Alaska 99611.

Elkhart Cremation Services is entrusted with arrangements.
