WAND to screen movie at Cass library on Aug. 24

CASSOPOLIS – WAND (Women’s Action for New Directions) will screen “Soldiers of Peace” on Monday, Aug. 24 5:30 p.m. at Cass District Library (M-62) in Cassopolis.
The news bombards us with reports of violence and many of us feel overwhelmed by the chaos and instability of our world.

The truth is the numbers of wars in the world is actually dropping dramatically.  Without cameras and glory, positive forces are working for peace.

This documentary, narrated by Michael Douglas, tells stories from 14 countries around the world and interviews Bob Geldof, Richard Branson, Archbishop Desmund Tutu, James Galbraith, Prince Hassan of Jordan, Hans Blix and other “Soldiers for Peace.”
The film is free and all are welcome.
