Rangers edged by Bucks in Lakeland action, 2-1

CASSOPOLIS – The Buchanan soccer team improved to 2-0-1 in the Lakeland Conference with 2-1 win over Cassopolis Tuesday night.

The Rangers grabbed a 1-0 first half lead on a goal with just 7:58 remaining in the opening 40 minutes of play by Bjargey Olafsson.

The score remained that way until late in the second half when the Bucks knotted the score at 1-1 on a goal by Morgan French with 24:21 left on the clock.

Buchanan (4-4-2, 2-0-1 Lakeland) then got the winning goal with 11:30 left in the match off the foot of Rachel Bahr, who was assisted on the play by Amanda Wynn.
The Rangers outshot the Bucks 11-8.

Bridgman at Edwardsburg
Edwardsburg blanked visiting Bridgman 5-0 in a Lakeland Conference match Tuesday night.

Scoring goals in the first half for the Eddies (3-3-1. 3-0-1 Lakeland) were Ashlyn Chambers, Macy Stevenson, Alyson Mooth and Jennifer Sporlader.

Chambers had the only goal of the second half.
