To the editor:
I am writing this out of pure frustration.
We recently had the interest rate on our Sears credit card raised to an unreasonably high rate of 23.99 percent. I’m sure we are not the only customers this has happened to. If you have a Sears credit card or any other major credit cards please check your statement, as I’m sure it has happened to you also. I have requested twice to have the rate lowered and been told both times it will not be done.
We no longer use this card and will no longer patronize the Sears stores either.
I just want to make sure customers are aware of the uncontrollable and deregulated powers these companies have.
Hopefully the government will take action against this type of business practice soon.
