Lorine’s life began on Sept. 22, 1909, in Paw Paw, daughter of Thomas and Mary Ellen (Seyler) Smith.

She was united in marriage to DeVee J. Hunsberger on June 28, 1936, in Paw Paw.

Lorine was a retired Patrick Hamilton Elementary School kindergarten teacher.

She retired from the Dowagiac school system in 1964 after 30 years.

She was a member of Dowagiac First United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her loving and caring friend William J. Martin of Dowagiac.
Lorine passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2010, at the Willows Assisted Living Facility in St. Joseph.

She was preceded in death by: her husband, DeVee, in August 1984; and her sisters, Leila Smith, Irma Smith and Metta Fisher.

Graveside services at Riverside Cemetery will held at a later date.
