Lakeland powerhouse Berrien Springs tops Niles tennis team, 8-0

The Niles varsity tennis team hosted Lakeland Conference power Berrien Springs on Tuesday and was defeated by the Shamrocks 8-0.

The most competitive match of the afternoon came at No. 1 doubles, where Berrien’s Matt Little and Jared McGarver edged Chris and Alex Lewellen in three sets, 7-5, 4-6 and 6-3.

The Vikings did win the junior varsity match 5-1.
