CASSOPOLIS – Two first half goals helped visiting Buchanan to a 3-0 Lakeland Conference victory over Cassopolis Thursday afternoon.

Richie Reed and Ryan Catalano scored first half goals for the Bucks, who improved to 3-1 in the league and 5-7-1 overall.

Reed scored in the 8th minute, but ended up on the sidelines after crashing into the Cassopolis keeper.

Both players lay on the ground for a while before getting up.

Catalano made it 2-0 in the 26th minute on an assist from Josh Newburg.

In the second half, Tye Payne completed the scoring in the 67th minute with an assist from Marquis Tyler.

The Bucks outshot the Rangers 17-6.

BERRIEN SPRINGS – First half goals by host Berrien Springs led to an 8-0 Lakeland Conference setback for Cassopolis Monday afternoon.

The Shamrocks got goals from Enoch Tsibu-Beckson (2), Seun Idowu, Ruben Zapata, Christopher Zimmer, Dustin Bushouse, Isaac Oduroh and Javier Martinez-Arevale.

Berrien Springs held a 16-9 advantage in shots on goal.

Cassopolis’ John Simpson had eight saves.
