PETOSKEY — The Southwest Michigan Soccer Club’s U11 girls team lost in the finals at Petoskey to the Mt. Pleasant Strikers 2-0 June 17.

The team reached the finals by defeating the Fruitport Fire 5-2, the DeWitt Dazzlers 8-1, the Marquette Soccer Academy 2-0 and the Marshall Redhawks 2-1.

Dowagiac’s Kellyn Daly had four goals in the win over the Fire and three goals against the Dazzlers.

Alana Walsh had the other goal against Fruitport, while she scored twice against DeWitt. Victoria Smith also had two goals against the Dazzlers and Courtney Farrish the other goal.

Against Marquette and Marshall, Farrish and Smith scored the goals for SWM.
