Abram C. ‘Slim’ Adams, 88
Born: June 6, 1923
Died: May 16, 2012

Slim’s life began on June 6, 1923, in Hoxie, Ark., the son of Abram C. and Mary (Crowder) Adams. He was united in married to Myrtle Stoker on May 15, 1943, in Jonesboro, Ark.

Slim, of Dowagiac, was a very active member of the Dowagiac Moose Lodge.

Slim was quite an entrepreneur.

He was a sheet metal worker for Heating and Commercial Air Exchange and he also did carpentry and plumbing work.

He also enjoyed going to Florida with his wife, Myrtle.

Slim’s loving family includes his wife, Myrtle Adams and grandson, Ryan Reist.

Slim passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2012, at The Timbers of Cass County.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Patricia Reist on Nov. 15, 1975; and 12 stepbrothers and sisters.

His family will gather with friends on Monday, May 21, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Yazel and Clark Chapel, where his funeral service will be at 2 led by Pastor James Dunn.
