THREE RIVERS — The Dowagiac golf team’s chances of repeating as Wolverine Conference champions were dealt a serious blow Friday.

The Chieftains finished a distant sixth at the league jamboree hosted by Three Rivers.

Vicksburg was the winner with a team total of 158. League-leading Otsego was second at 163 and the host Wildcats fourth with a 166.

Dowagiac finished with a 178.

Jordan Juday led the Chieftains with a 41. Cody Fairleigh shot 42 with Jon Robinson and Christian Hess finishing at 47 and 48 respectively.
