CASSOPOLIS — The following activities are scheduled the Cass County Council on Aging, located at the corner of M-60 and Decatur Road east of Cassopolis, in February:
• Mondays and Wednesday through February: Let’s Move. This new class combines stretching, balance and range of motion exercises to help improve mobility. 9:45 to 10:15 a.m. Cost is $15 per month.
• Wednesdays through February: Cribbage Club. Open to cribbage players of all skill levels. Play begins at 1 p.m.
Feb. 2: Medication Drop-off. Bring in unused, expired or unwanted medications for proper disposal from 10 a.m. to noon. Medications must be in their original, labeled containers and signed in when dropped off.
• Thursdays through February: Dance Club. Dance to a variety of musical styles and enjoy the fellowship of friends. 9 a.m.
• Fridays through February: Knitting and Crocheting. The group is open to anyone who likes to knit or crochet, regardless of skill level. They share techniques, stories and fun while knitting items to donate to charity. 10 a.m. to noon.
Feb. 6: Quilting Club. Use or develop your quilting skills to make items for donation to groups in need. 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Feb. 13: Brain Aerobics. “Fitness for your Mind” exercises the brain and stimulates neurons. This is a free class, but registration required due to space limitations. This class is open to everyone. 10 a.m. to noon. Same class is repeated on Feb. 14 at First United Methodist Church in Dowagiac.

Feb. 13 and Feb. 29: Computer Assistance. Friendly volunteers from Cass District Library help individuals with computer issues.
in our redesigned Information Center. Use our computers or bring your laptop. Feb. 13 from 1 to 3 p.m. and Feb. 29 from 10 a.m. to noon.
Feb. 14, Tuesday: Valentine’s Party. Enjoy some love songs and fun with your lunch. Stay after lunch for a game of Hearts for just $1 – players of all skill levels welcomed! Party begins at noon, lunch costs about $5 or less.
Feb. 17, Friday: Book Club.  “Read and Share” will discuss “The Glass Castle” by Jeanette Walls. 1 to 2:30 p.m.
Feb. 20, Monday: Council on Aging closed for Presidents Day.
Feb. 21, Tuesday: Mardi Gras Party. Celebrate with food and fun! We’ll crown our Mardi Gras king or queen, enjoy some music, and traditional treats. Lunch will cost about $5, fun is free. Noon.
These are just some of the activities and classes that the Council on Aging has to offer.
