Jan. 18, 1920 — July 2, 2020

Liz Yoder passed peacefully the evening of July 2, 2020, at the home of her daughter Beth in Marcellus, Michigan.

She lived a full life, missing her 100th birthday by 169 days. She was born Elizabeth Virginia Honold Dec. 18, 1920, in Mishawaka, the youngest child of Edward and Mary (Barth) Honold.

Liz was an avid sports fan and enjoyed playing cards and Yahtzee. She enjoyed traveling and boating with her late husband Roy. They raised their family in Niles and moved to Fort Myers, Florida, upon retirement.

She is survived by two daughters, Beth (Thom) Baker-Janssen, of Marcellus, and Ande (Al) Colwell, of Inman, South Carolina; three grandsons, Bob (Becca) Colwell, of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, Mike (Megan) Baker, of Portage, Michigan, and Ben Colwell, of Knoville, Tennessee; and two great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Roy; son. Jeff; son-in-law, Pat Baker; brothers, Edward, Martin, Carl and Fritz; and sisters, Henrietta Doll and Helen Doll (they married brothers).

After cremation, her urn will rest next to husband Roy’s at Mission Hills, in Niles. The family will have a private memorial later this year.
