DOWAGIAC — Because of the City of Dowagiac is committed to following the guidelines provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and state health officials, Mayor Don Lyons has announced the March 23 City Council Meeting has been canceled.

Council has previously enacted resolutions that allows for the paying of bills in the case of a meeting’s postponement or cancelation.

“As always, the transparency of records is a priority and a list of bills being paid will be available on Friday, March 20, 2020,” said Bobbie Jo Hartline, secrtary to the city manager.

Mayor Lyons will stay abreast of recommendations and provisions from the CDC and will make determinations on other upcoming meetings as necessary.
