NILES — A pair of local football players signed Division 1 letters of intent last Wednesday.

Niles’ Nolan Garrard signed with Valparaiso (Indiana) University, while Edwardsburg’s Josh Priebe signed with Northwestern.

It has been a big postseason for Priebe.

After being named to the Associated Press Division 3-4 All-State team, Priebe was also named to the Michigan High School Football Coaches Association Dream Team and Division 3 All-State squad.

Eddies defensive lineman Cameron Thompson was also a first-team pick on the coach’s team, while Mac Gaideski and Dillon Hursh were honorable mention selections.
