Lonny M. DeGraff, 71, of Dowagiac, passed away at Spectrum Hospital in St. Joseph, on Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2019.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 6, 2019, at Holy Maternity Catholic Church, 210 N. Front St., Dowagiac, with Fr. Mike Rejent officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice. Those wishing to leave a condolence online may do so at clarkch.com.
Lonny was born on May 7, 1947, in Dowagiac, to the late Clifford and Marvel (Kidman) DeGraff. He graduated from Dowagiac High School in 1966. Lonny married the love of his life, Dawn DeGraff, in Cassopolis. Lonny worked for AM General in Mishawaka for many years before his retirement. He was a long-time member of the Dowagiac VFW and Eagles Club. Lonny was known as a loving and generous man. He had a love for the great outdoors where he enjoyed hunting, fishing and mushroom hunting. In his spare time, he enjoyed trips to the casino. Most of all he loved his family and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by four children, Lisa (William) Kinzer, of Elkhart, Angie (DeGraff) Glossenger, of Mishawaka, Lynette (Benjamin) Joy, of Elkhart, and Michael (Traci) DeGraff, of Goshen, 11 grandchildren; brother, Larry (Susan) DeGraff, of Niles, sisters Gloria Collins, of Dowagiac, Joyce (Richard) Pond, of Dowagiac, and Judy Torbet, of Coloma, and a brother-in-law, Kenneth Gaideski. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Dawn DeGraff; sister Linda Gaideski and brother-in-law, Lonnie Collins.
