John Thomas Frigaard, 71, of Marin County, California and formerly of N. 4th St., Niles, died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2018, in California of an extended illness. He had been ill since a bicycle accident which led to further complications.

After college, John entered Volunteers in Service to America (VISTA) serving in Harvey, Illinois. He then followed a dream of working for the Good Guys in San Francisco in audio sales. While there, a manufacturer representative saw his talent and offered him a position. This led to his eventual own company, retirement and continued consulting services.
John was suave and debonair throughout his entire life along with a gentleness in both heart and humor. He enjoyed the pursuit of intellectualism, golf and people. His life was blessed with his companion, Ellen, who eventually became a caregiver extraordinaire.

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are being completed by the Halbritter-Wickens Funeral Services. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
