Edward Cottledge, 70, of Ypsilanti, died peacefully Monday, Feb. 5, 2018, in St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor.

He was born Jan. 31, 1948, in Detroit, to Edward Bland and Emma Cottledge.

Also known as Eddie, he will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by three sisters, Carol Omega Robinson of Cassopolis, Yvonne Bland (Chris Chism) of Chicago, Illinois, and Veloures Deans of Niles, Michigan; one brother, James (Sharon) Cottledge of Ypsilanti, Michigan; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Family and friends gathered at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018, until time of service at noon in Connelly Chapel Wagner Family Funerals, 202 North Broadway Street, Cassopolis, with the Reverend Johnny Anderson officiating.

Edward was laid to rest in Prospect Hill Cemetery in Cassopolis.
