Patricia M. (Ziegler) Christner, 74, passed away at 9:45 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 23, 2017, in Memorial Hospital.

Patricia was born on Feb. 13, 1943, in Niles, to the late Osman F. and Mary E. (Newbanks) Ziegler.

Patricia was also preceded in death by a brother, Ozzie Ziegler.

She is survived by her sons, Todd (Sasha) Christner of Crothersville, Indiana and Damon (Marcy) Christner of Niles; grandchildren, Justine Cowart of Elkhart, Jack Herman of Niles, and Jocelyn Christner of Niles; great grandchildren, Dwayne Felver III of Grand Rapids, Kenneth Felver of Grand Rapids, Andrew Cowart of Elkhart, and Ember Herman of Fort Wayne, Indiana; and best friend, Don Youngman.

Patricia was a caregiver and worked for the Cass County Mental Heath Department until the age of 72. “She loved her guys” was her favorite saying about those she took care of.

Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 29, 2017, at Halbritter Wickens Funeral Home, 615 E. Main St., Niles. Funeral Service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Silverbrook Cemetery at a later date.
