A Cass County man was injured in a single vehicle accident Wednesday, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to the crash at 9:27 a.m. Wednesday at M-60 west of Calvin Center Road in Penn Township.

Initial investigation shows a garbage truck lost control and left the roadway, overturning down the shoulder embankment.  The driver, Jason McGaughey, 41, of Marcellus, Michigan, was transported by helicopter from the scene.
Alcohol and drugs do not appear to have been a factor in this crash.
The crash remains under investigation at this time.
