BENTON HARBOR — The Michigan State Police Niles Post is pleased to announce a Citizens’ Academy, which will start Nov. 8 and end Dec. 20.

The six-week academy will give citizens the opportunity to become familiar with the mission and operation of the MSP, understand the procedures troopers follow, increase their awareness of law enforcement’s role in the community, and get to know personnel at the Niles Post.

The six-week academy will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesdays at the First Presbyterian Church of Benton Harbor, 475 Green Ave. in Benton Harbor.

A graduation ceremony will take place on Dec. 20.
