City making the right decision

would like to make sure I understand the recent decision of the city council regarding a special district for SMCAS.

It is my understanding that we are supporting a fiscally irresponsible organization by giving them even more money. Further, more money includes land/lot assessments that were not in the original assessments that we have been paying for some time.

So, for a resident who has health insurance that pays for ambulance services, owns a house and vacant lot purchased so the city would not have to pay to mow it, would still be charged $40. I can see the logic of this approach and highly commend my city leaders for such insightful actions on my behalf.

Could a citizen ask for more?
