Twenty-eight wasted years

A special issue of Life Magazine, published in January 1989, featured two articles.

The first featured the ecological damage that humans were causing to the earth. The second was about Donald Trump, a real estate tycoon in New York City.

Over the years, Mr. Trump has shown no interest in preserving the earth for our descendants and has called global warming a hoax promoted by the Chinese. This man and his appointees are squandering precious time in ignoring changes that are occurring as a result of the burning of fossil fuels.

We, as citizens, must take steps to hold them accountable. If the earth is to remain habitable for our children and grandchildren, now is the time to do something positive to protect our future.
