Second grade students at Ballard Elementary received 30 iPads this week to use as new learning tools.
The iPads arrived this week after the approval of an $8,500 grant from the Frederick S. Upton Foundation. Second-grade teachers Laura Dierlam and Kyle Bechtel applied for the grant.
Co-principal Robin Hadrick addressed the benefits of the iPads in a thank-you note to the foundation.
“Because of your grant, our students will be able to access a variety of enrichment programs that will engage and encourage our students to achieve the highest levels of academic success,” she said.
In addition to the iPads, students also received safety cases and a charging cart. (Submitted photos)
