BENTON HARBOR — The Benton Harbor Department of Public Safety is asking for the public’s help in finding an armed robbery suspect.
On Monday morning, officers of the police department were called to Family Dollar at 491 Pipestone St. for a report of an armed robbery. A black male, 5 feet 10 inches tall with a medium build, wearing black jeans, a black jacket, a grey sweatshirt and a piece of cloth obstructing his face, showed a handgun and made off with a small amount of money. The scene was processed and forensic evidence was located.
Benton Harbor Department of Public Safety is investigating this incident. Berrien Sheriff’s Department with a K-9 track assisted the BHDPS.
