To honor the passing of actor Carrie Fisher, most famously known for her role as Princess Leia in “Star Wars,” Pizza Transit, 215 E. Main St. created Parmesan and herb bread sticks in the shape of Leia’s iconic hairdo.
Fisher went into cardiac arrest during a flight from London to Los Angeles. She was hospitalized on Dec. 23 and died Dec. 27 at the age of 60.
The bread sticks were sold on Wednesday for five for $5.
Twenty five percent of the proceeds went to the American Heart Association.
In a Facebook post to commemorate Fisher, Pizza Transit had this to say: “The world lost it’s favorite princess. Carrie Fisher taught us that a princess can be tough, and to honor her life we are offering Princess breadsticks for Wednesday only.”
