Brandywine 10U All-Stars eliminated from regional

LAKE CUMBERLAND, KENTUCKY — The Brandywine 10U All-Stars won its first Ohio Valley Regional game, but dropped the next three to get eliminated from the tournament Friday.

Brandywine defeated Buffalo, West Virginia 16-5, but fell to Elizabethtown, Kentucky 13-3, Matoon, Illinois 12-0 and to host Lake Cumberland 25-1.

Kaiden Rieth hit .750 to lead the Brandywine All-Stars, while Devon Flanery and Conner Dye both hit .500.

Rieth had a pair of doubles and a triple, while Kevin Roberts and Dye also doubled.

Gavin Schoff had a double and a home run for Brandywine. Schoff also led the team in RBIs with five. Brock Dye  and Rieth both finished with three.

Flanery earned the victory on the mound against Buffalo.

Brandywine went into bracket play as the eighth seeded team.
