Beverly Rose (Howader) Potokar, 89, passed away on April 9, 2016 in Woodstock, Georgia.

Beverly was born Dec. 10, 1926 in Benton Harbor, Michigan, growing up in Berrien County. On March 30, 1947, she married Peter F. Potokar who preceded her in death.

Beverly worked in the Niles community most of her life and raised her family. She attended St. Marks and St. Mary’s Parish, also helping and serving in her community. She will be missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her children, Steven F. Kathy (Woddall) Potokar, Kenneth P. and Sandi (Barthel) Potokar, Peter S. Potokar, Cathy (Potokar) and Jim Shipley; thirteen grandchildren, Misty Burlingame, Jodi Snyder/Kyle, Kristy Falb /Ken, Aaron Potokar, Roger Potokar, Peter P. Potokar, Steven Beltramo., Michael P. Potokar, Jessica Ashby/Mark, Chandra Hiter/Jason, Lawton Dickens, Heather Ralston, Leslee Shipley along with 23 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Beverly is also preceded in death by her parents, Rose and Adolph Howader; brothers, Leo and Robert Howader and sister, Gloria Mohn.

Visitation for Beverly will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 14, 2016, at Hoven Funeral Home, Buchanan. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 15, 2016 at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens, Niles.
