Barbara G. (Cronk) Hagen, 68, of Niles, passed away at her home on Monday, March 14, 2016, after a courageous battle with cancer.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at noon on Monday, March 21, 2016, at Clark Chapel & Cremation Services, 405 Center St., Dowagiac, Michigan with Rev. Alphonse Savarimuthu of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Parrish officiating. A private burial in Timber Lake, South Dakota will be held at a later date. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, March 20, 2016 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Barb was born June 19, 1947 in Saginaw, Michigan to Don and Emma (Kross) Cronk. She graduated from Lake Michigan Catholic High School in St Joseph, Michigan in 1965. At the age of 22 Barb graduated from the Twin City Beauty College. She married Dean Hagen in St. Joseph on Feb. 8, 1975. Barb was a licensed cosmetologist for 20 years, during that time she was also a licensed cosmetology instructor. She became a licensed insurance agent and worked alongside her husband for the last 10 years. Barb was a devoted wife, loving mother and a wonderful grandmother.

Barb is survived by her husband, Arthur “Dean” Hagen, her children; Danny (Janet) Hagen of Dowagiac, Christine (Rebel) Hagen-Hays of Niles, LaShay Keller of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Abbi (Roger “T-Bird”) Wegner of Niles and Joshua (Tanya) Hagen of Niles; 12 grandchildren, Alexis Hagen, Josh Deuel, Jake Deuel, Jesse Deuel, Timothy Hays and Devin Hays, Seth Keller, Kirsten Keller, Murphy Wegner, Dean Wegner, Jack Hagen, Maddux Hagen; six sisters; Donna (Tim) Hall, Joyce (Randy) Whitt, Jackie (Dean) Lindemann Mary (Terry) Klinge, Maureen “Tina” (Kenneth) Smith and Annette (Stephen) Celentano; two brothers, Daniel (Shelly) Cronk and Don R. Cronk, II; 34 nieces & nephews and very close friends for the past 40 years, Ron & Diane First, Arnie Garritano, Emily Hunter, Barbara Daniels and Bruce and Paula Sutton.

Barb was preceded in death by her parents Don and Emma Cronk; brother Patrick J. Cronk; nephew, Erik C. Lindemann; niece, Shaya S. Whitt and good friends Carole Garritano and Cindy Roessler. and Cindy Roessler.
