Cheri Stephens, 62, of Niles, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2016.

Cheri was born on May 29, 1953, to Raymond and Donnabelle (Enfield) Cain in South Bend, Indiana. Cheri graduated from Niles High School, class of 1972. Shortly after graduating from high school, Cheri wed the love of her life, Jerald Stephens on June 10, 1972 at a ceremony in Niles. Together the two had two children, Amy and Sarah. Cheri’s family was her greatest joy and she devoted her life to them. After her daughter passed away Cheri and her husband took their five grandchildren in to their home.

She was preceded in death by her father; daughter, Amy Sue Stephens; husband, Jerald A. Stephens; and brother Gregory Cain.

Cheri is survived by her mother, Donnabelle Cain of Niles; daughter, Sarah Stephens of Niles; five grandchildren, Codie Curtis, Kailee (Josh Baltzell) Curtis, Brianna Curtis, Zachary Curtis and Michelle Stephens; siblings Donnarae (Al) Wines of Buchanan, Robin (Jeff) Mather of Niles, and Lance (Tanya) Cain of Niles and countless extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2016 at Hope Community Church in Niles at 11 a.m. Pastor Mike Smith will be officiating
