BENTON HARBOR, Mich. — Leaders in Benton Harbor have teamed up to spread a number of important messages to the community, including safe cycling and the importance of public art.

Their solution, The I Am The Greatest Sculpture Bike Tour with Cycle-Re-Cycle and Anna Russo-Sieber Gallery will kickoff at Cycle-Re-Cycle at noon and end at ARS Gallery on Oct. 10.

Organizers will serve hot cider, apples and donuts after the ride at around 2 p.m. at ARS. This ride is intended to raise awareness about safe bicycling and public art and the joy of biking.

Cycle-Re-Cycle and ARS Arts & Culture Center are hosting an awareness bike ride, which will tour the I Am The Greatest Sculptures throughout Benton Harbor and St. Joseph on October 10 beginning at noon.

The ride will tour the IATG sculptures created by artist John Sauve’, beginning at Cycle-Re-Cycle, 300 12th St. and ending at ARS, 147 Fifth St., both in Benton Harbor.

While participants munch on fall treats, a new 15-minute documentary will be aired at ARS.

Cycle-Re-Cycle is a nonprofit community bike shop that is driven by volunteer cyclists who are passionate to share the road & life skills build a bigger better bike culture in southwest Michigan.

ARS is a not-for-profit organization that offers arts & culture education, and is the home to the I Am The Greatest Project, which helps educate at-risk youth through the arts.
