Mary Jean Mosier, 83, of Dowagiac, passed away at her home on Thursday, Sept. 3, 2015.

Mary was born on June 19, 1932, to the late Frank and Wanda (Welker) Lewis in Vandalia.  She was one of three children.  On Aug. 14, 1948, Mary wed Donald Lee Mosier in Roseland, Indiana.  Together the two had six children.  She retired from Central Supply at Lee Memorial Hospital in Dowagiac.

Mary enjoyed her time outside and could frequently be found gardening or mowing her lawn.  She loved life and was an amazing mom who always put her entire family first.  She was your first call if you were in trouble and the first one you wanted to tell your good news to.  Mary also enjoyed ironing and quilting.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don; son, Russ Mosier; and sister, June Clubb.

Mary is survived by her children, Donn (Lucinda) Mosier of Vandalia; Michael (Linda) Mosier of Dowagiac, Thomas (Robin) Mosier of Cassopolis, Mary Lee Anne Mosier of South Bend and Jim (Shelly Mosier of  Dowagiac; grandchildren, Lisa (Eugene) Green, Sherry (Tifton) Adams, Michael (Shaza) Mosier, Martin (Angela) Mosier, Mistel (Jeff) de Varona,  Tom Mosier, Jr., Jenita Bishop, Mollie Mosier, Annie Mosier, Roseanne (Sean) Holmes, James Mosier, Nikki (Josh) Jordan; 17 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; brother, Jon Lewis of Vandalia; and her loving dog Otis Lee whom she said was the smartest dog in the world.
