Floyd Sickling, Jr., 87, of Niles, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center, St. Joseph in the presence of his wife, daughter and grandchildren.
Floyd was born on May 30, 1928, to the late Floyd Sr., and Flora (McCall) Sickling in Cypress, IL. He served in the United States Air Force from Jan. 1 1952, through January 1, 1956. On July 18, 1952, he married Peggy Jo Pool at a ceremony in Tampa, Florida. Floyd worked in machining and expediting at Clark Equipment and retired on May 1, 1988.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Peggy Jo Sickling; daughter, Kelly Jo (Steven) Parker; brother, George (Linda) Sickling; sisters, Violet Dexter, Shirley (Clinton) Wright, Sue (Leon) Childers and Charlotte (Clayton) Eddleman; grandchildren, Jenny Jo Rickert, June Rose (Adam) Allport, Ethan Floyd Rickert and Stephanie Mae Parker and expected great grandson, Caleb James Allport.
Floyd is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd Sr. and Flora Sickling; son, David Floyd Sickling; brother, Merle Edward Sickling and sister, Mary Louise Jordan.
