Sandra K. Schiele, 69, of Niles, died Monday, May 18, 2015.

The South Bend native was born Sept. 13, 1945, to Hubert O. and Minnie L. (Petrie) Cates, who have both preceded her in death.
She retired from Notre Dame in Alumni Files after 24 years there; she enjoyed crochet and cooking, playing video games and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Sandra is survived by her son, Roger (Stephanie) Schiele and her grandchildren, Zachary and Alexander Schiele, all of Mishawaka. A memorial gathering will be on Thursday May 21, from 5 to 8 p.m. in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy. in Osceola. Interment at a later date in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. The family’s preferred memorial is the Logan Center, 2505 E Jefferson Blvd, South Bend, IN 46615.
