Edward E. Singleton, Sr., 66, of Cassopolis, died Wednesday morning, March 18, 2015, in his residence surrounded by his family.

He was born May 26, 1948 in South Bend, Indiana to Charles and Lovina (Phillips) Singleton. Edward married Brenda Lee Evans May 27, 1988 in Decatur, Michigan. She survives. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Ruby Jones, Shirley Brown and Alice Cox; and three brothers, Kenneth B. Singleton, Charles N. Singleton, Jr. and Lester P. Singleton.

Edward liked to play the guitar and ride his tractor.

Edward will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Brenda L. (Evans) Singleton of Cassopolis; one daughter, Tina Lynn Evans of Cassopolis; one son, Edward E. Singleton, Jr., of South Bend; one grandson, Ramiro Pompey, Sr. of Cassopolis; one great grandson Ramiro Pompey, Jr.; four sisters, Dorothy M. Grenert, Delores Helfman, Rose Grenert, Clara Riggs, all of South Bend; four brothers, Walter (Yvonne) Singleton of Galatin, Tennessee, William (Carol) Singleton, Jack Singleton, Ronald (Pat) Singleton, all of South Bend; and a host of nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Family and friends will gather Saturday, March 28, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until time of service of 6:00 p.m. in Connelly Chapel Wagner Family Funerals, 202 North Broadway Street, Cassopolis. The service will conclude with Military Honors.

The family prefers memorial contributions to Mr. Singleton’s wife, Brenda L. Singleton, in care of the funeral home.
