Priscilla Jean Lawson, 90, of Cassopolis, died peacefully Sunday evening, Feb. 22, 2015, in Cass County medical care facility.

She was born April 26, 1924, in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Emery and Edna May (Mitchell) Hill. Priscilla married Leo Lawson Dec. 4, 1943, in Calvin Township, Michigan. Her husband survives. She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Linda Vaughn; one grandson, Emerson Haines, III; three sisters, Elizabeth Holmes, Barbara Copley and Edith Charlene Matthews.

Priscilla’s passion was to live her life as a Christian and spread her faith to others, even during her days in the nursing home. She and her husband lived for each other and looked forward to spending eternity together.

Priscilla will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is survived by her husband of over seventy-one years, Leo Lawson of Cassopolis; one daughter, Lois (Emerson) Haines of Niles;

one son, Gordon (Sharon) Lawson of Goshen; four grandchildren, Brenda (John) King of Elkhart,

Lisa (Michael) Simpson of Niles, Megan Lawson of Elkhart; three great grandchildren, Montana (Kyle) Wojtys of Mishawaka, Dakota (Tyler) Haines of South Bend, Michael Simpson, Jr., of Niles, Breanna Haines of Niles; two great great grandsons, Avery Wojtys and Bentley Wojtys; one brother, James (Sue) Hill of Hemmit, California; and a host of nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Family and friends will gather Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2015 from 5 p.m. until time of

service of 6 p.m. in Connelly Chapel Wagner Family Funerals, 202 North Broadway Street, Cassopolis, with the Reverends Russell Haines and Michael Fisher officiating. Mrs. Lawson will be laid to rest in Calvin Community Cemetery, Calvin Township.
