Daily Star forecasters down to ‘final four’

The Niles Daily Star Football Forecasters is down to its ‘final four’ heading to the third round of the Bowl Challenge Series.

Advancing were Allison Hayes, who was 9-1 in round two, and Dennis Cooper, who was 8-2.

Also advancing are Antwon Jones who went 8-2 and Jeff Upton, who was 7-3.

Losing in a coin toss after going 7-3 were Fred Smith, Scott Novak and John Jarpe.

Also eliminated in the second round was Tiffanie Gogley, who was 5-5.

The third round will whittle the field down to two forecasters, who will be joined by a pair of wild card players.

The top two eliminated forecasters will earn a spot in the championship based on their records through the first three rounds.

Michael Caldwell currently leads the way with 14 wins after going 10-0 in the second round.

The third round games began with the New Year’s Eve games.
