Andrea Lynn Gray, 51, of Edwardsburg, and most recently of Niles, made her journey to heaven on Nov. 28, 2014 at Lakeland Medical Center of St. Joseph, Michigan, following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on April 11, 1963, in Marietta, Ohio, to Pam and Mick McKitrick.

While in Edwardsburg, she became an Emergency Medical Technician and served with the Edwardsburg Ambulance Service. She was a part of the former Cassopolis Ambulance Service, which is now known as Life Care.

Other than her devotion to her community, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and a true friend, but most of all she was a “daughter” of Christ.

Andrea is survived by her husband, Douglas Gray of Niles; her four children: Christopher (Tanya) Gray, Phillip (Jessica) Gray, Andrew Gray and Elissa (Jeff Ross) Gray.

There are five grandchildren, her parents, Pam and Mick McKitrick, her grandmother Weezie McKitrick, a sister Michele Courtney. She also has four loving uncles and a wonderful aunt, and cousins and dear friends.

Family who have passed her in death is her beloved grandfather, Bruce McKitrick.

Family and friends may gather on Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2014, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Hope United Methodist Church, 69940 Elkhart Road, Edwardsburg. There will be a Memorial Service of Remembrance at the church starting at 5 p.m., with Rev. Jeff Reese, pastor of the church, officiating. The interment of her cremains will be on Thursday, Dec. 4, 2014, at noon in the Edwardsburg Cemetery.
