Travis N. Reed, 75, of Buchanan, passed away on Friday, July 11, 2014, at Buchanan Meadows.

Travis was born March 19, 1939, to Claude and Nellie Reed in Cordova, Alabama. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of both the American Legion and the Moose Lodge.

Travis was a retired machinist from Clark Equipment Company where he also served as Union Steward for many years. He was an avid Notre Dame Football fan and a faithful Cubs fan. He loved spending time with his granddaughters and traveling with Nancy to many locations over the years.

He is survived by his daughter, Kathryn Gaither of Niles; son, Randall Scott Reed of Sacramento, California; his companion since 1977, Nancy L. Gleissner of Buchanan; sister, Willadean Stone of Lebanon, Tennessee; two grandchildren, Katelyn and Jamie Gaither and numerous nieces and nephews.

Travis is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Wilburn Reed and sister, Christine Hyche.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 15, 2014, at Hoven Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Buchanan. Visitation will take place from 12 p.m. until the time of the service.
