Bobby Devan Smith, of St. Cloud, Florida, formerly of Niles, died Tuesday, May 12, 2014. The world lost a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Bobby was born June 19, 1930, to Charles and Lorna Smith, who precede him in death, as well as his brother, Billy Melvin Smith.

On Sept. 28, 1950, he married Norma June McGowan, who survives with his three children, Babette Barz, Ella (Robert) Taylor and Charles (Debra Mitchell) Smith and his sister, Janice Carry.

Bobby served in the Navy, and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the Buchanan American Legion Post 51. After the war, he worked at Simplicity Pattern, where he retired.

His wishes were for no funeral services, and his family will follow his wishes.
