Hospital there when it counts

To the editor:

We would like to take some time to recognize a valuable asset in our community, Borgess-Lee Memorial Hospital.
On Monday, March 11, I went to the clinic here in town because I had become short of breath while walking.
Although things appeared to be normal, they sent me to the hospital to get some blood levels checked.
The entire process took less than an hour and before I knew it, I was in an ambulance on my way to the Borgess Heart Institute in Kalamazoo.
There they performed their first robotic-assisted, minimally invasive bypass on me.
Few facilities in this country offer this surgery.
Through the great care of every employee of the Borgess Heart Institute, especially Dr. Pratt and Dr. Gustafson, I have an excellent prognosis.
But none of this would have happened if it wasn’t for the staff at our very own hospital, led by Dr. Kordish.
Thank you, Dr. Kordish and the entire ER staff, thank you Nancy Vylonis and Linda Saldano in the lab and thank you Caroline White, PA, at the clinic.
