Alan was born on June 3, 1985 in Niles. After high school, Alan wed the love of his life, Amanda Miller.  Together they had three beautiful boys, Oliver who is 5 years old, Simon who is 2 years old and Henry who is 7 months. Alan had a love for the movies like no other. He loved going to the theater with his wife and watching every new release he could. Going to concerts with his best friend, Shane, was a favorite past time. Alan always dreamed about becoming a producer and being in the movies, especially horror movies.

Alan was an epic friend; he would help anyone, but nothing made him smile more than spoiling his wife.  He would do anything to make her smile and to hear his boys laugh.  Together, they enjoyed going to the mall, getting pretzels and watching the boys play with the train at Barnes and Nobles.  Alan was also a gadget guy and he loved to cook! He would come home from the grocery store with the most random ingredients and put together a meal that would have everyone surprised at how good it tasted. He even taught Amanda to cook.

Alan has worked at Shelton’s Farm Market for many years. He was currently a supervisor and loved his job there.

Alan is survived by his wife, Amanda; their children, Oliver, Simon and Henry; his father, Terry Steven, of Niles; mother, Gloria Jean (Jeff) Allison, of Niles; a brother, Ryan Steven, of Niles; paternal grandfather, Donald Steven, of Niles; maternal grandfather, Richard Thomas, of Grand Rapids; and countless other family and friends.

Memorial donations may be sent to Amanda Steven, C/O Brown Funeral Home at 521 East Main St., Niles, MI 49120 as a fund is being established for his children in Alan’s memory.
