The kindest of cuts will be paid forward

To the editor:

Bakeman Barbers would like to thank the person who walked in and handed us money to cut hair for anyone who was out of work. The donor’s selfless and thoughtful act made an impression on people who needed a hand. The first man who was out of work also had cancer. He teared up when we told him a person wanted to pay for his haircut. He thought it was the nicest thing that had happened to him in a while.

We stretched the money as far as we could and helped you touch as many people as possible.

A handful of individuals you helped said they would “pay it forward.”

Just another example of how there are still a lot of good, caring people living and passing through Dowagiac.
