Raymond H. Rigney, 79, of Niles, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012, at his home of natural causes.

He was born March 25, 1933, in Manchester, Tenn. He had lived in the Niles area since 1954, worked as a foreman in the mobile home industry and was known for collecting tractors.

On June 9, 1956, in Niles, he married Suzann (Mathews) Rigney, who survives.

Also surviving are his sons, Joe Rigney of Reno, Nev., Kevin Rigney of Niles and Raymond A. Rigney of Flint; daughter, Cheryl Bloode of New Carlisle, Ind.; grandchildren, Kyle Miner, Bryce Bloode and Katie Duran; three great-grandchildren; brother, Ewin L. Rigney of Manchester, Tenn.; and two sisters, Helen Haley of Winston Salem, N.C., and Nancy Phelps of Manchester.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond M. and Dedie Rigney; one son, Dan Rigney; and two sisters, Evelyn Rigney and Jean Elrod.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, at the Kingdom Hall in Niles.
