While there have been recent changes in County leadership and change is good, a special debt of gratitude is owed to Carl Higley by the citizens of Cass County and especially those of the Edwardsburg area.

No one has matched Carl in his devotion to the ecology of our community by his tireless dedication to the removal of trash and by his fighting for a budget for hazardous waste removal when budgets were tight.

Carl will be missed at the county board meetings, but we are all hopeful he will continue as an active participant in the activities of the many boards on which he has served.

Carl Higley has served us well.
