St. Patrick’s tent party rocks S. Bend

Start St. Patrick’s Day celebrations early at downtown South Bend’s 10th annual Tent Party & Pub Tour on March 16. This popular event brings thousands of adult visitors to downtown South Bend to enjoy live rock under the tent and to take part in the popular Pub Tour, featuring downtown restaurants, bars and clubs.

The Tent Party, which runs from 5-11 p.m. on South Michigan Street between Wayne and Western streets, kicks off with King Pao at 5:30 p.m. with Stillshot taking the stage at 8 p.m. Food and drinks by Upper Deck Catering will be served. Admission is $5 at the door; must be 21 years of age or older to attend.

Pub Tour stops include Agave53, Backstage Grill, Blarney Stone, CJ’s Pub, Club LaSalle, Corby’s Irish Pub, Emporium, Frank’s Place, Madison Oyster Bar, Sean O’ Casey’s, The View Tavern,  The Vine, Tippecanoe Place, Trio’s Restaurant & Jazz Club and Vickie’s Bar.

Trolleys will run from 5:30 p.m. until 12:30 a.m. and can be picked up outside of the Tent Party or at 10 additional designated and marked trolley stops.

A St. Paddy’s After Party is at 11 p.m. at Club Fever, 222 S. Michigan St. and features the band Simple Crush.  Admission is free.
