Cass District Library in March

CASSOPOLIS — March not only brings a new spring season, it also brings two new reading programs and many family programs at Cass District Library.
The first program is a reading group, designed for students in third through fifth grades, called Chips and a Chapter.
This after-school group will meet every Tuesday at 4 p.m. at the Main Library in Cassopolis. Kids are welcome to relax with a snack while listening to a chapter book read aloud. No registration is required. The program is free. All materials will be provided by the library.

Book club for teens
The second reading program to begin in March is a book club for teens.
All sixth- to 12th-graders are welcome to join Pizza and Pages.
Meetings will be at 6 p.m. on the second Wednesday of the month at the Main Library. The first meeting will be on March 14.
At the first meeting, teens will choose titles to read, enjoy pizza and get to know each other. Call the Main Library at (269) 445-3400 ext. 21 to register.
This club is free to join. All materials will be provided by the library.

Family programs
• A Pajama Party Family Story Time will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. The evening at the Edwardsburg Branch includes fun activities, stories and more.
Kids are welcome to wear their pajamas. The Edwardsburg Branch of Cass District Library is located at 26745 Church St. in Edwardsburg.
• Family Movie Night  is 6 p.m. March 15 at the Howard Branch. In this animated film, follow the adventures of Tintin and Captain Haddock as they set off on a treasure hunt. The library provides free popcorn. The film is free to attend and open to the public. The Howard Branch of Cass District Library is located at 2341 Yankee St., Niles.
• A Family Movie Night will also be offered at the Mason/Union Branch at 6 p.m., on Tuesday, March 20. In this film, the Muppets must reunite to save their old theater from a greedy oil tycoon. Free popcorn will be provided. The film is free and open to the public. The Mason/Union Branch of Cass District Library is located at 17049 U.S. 12, Edwardsburg.

Spring story hour
Spring Story Hour begins the last week of March. All branches offer story hour at 10 a.m. on different days of the week.
Howard Branch offers story hour on Tuesdays. Mason/Union Branch has story hour on Wednesdays.
Edwardsburg Branch meets on Fridays.
The Main Library in Cassopolis offers story hour on Thursdays at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.
