Cass names poet laureate

To honor northern Michigan native Lois J. Cross-Hart’s 50 years in Cass County, the board of commissioners Thursday night designated her “poet laureate of Cass County.”
Her love of literature was nourished by her grandfather’s readings of great masters.
She published “The Color of Nether.”
Cross-Hart read “Poppa” and the lighter “Pee Wee Williams” about Little League baseball.
