Nielsen named to Albion roster

ALBION — Former Niles standout Sophie Nielsen and Bridgman’s Taylor Tuszinski have made the roster of the Albion College softball team.

Albion coach Christina Finch announced her 15-player roster for the 2012 season last week.
Nielsen, a first-year outfielder, is the daughter of Craig Nielsen and Victoria Nielsen of Niles.
Tuszynski, a first-year infielder, is the daughter of John Tuszynski and Jean Tuszynski of Bridgman.
Albion’s season begins with a series of non-league games in Kissimmee, Fla., March 3-9. The Britons are scheduled to make their northern debut in a non-league doubleheader at Manchester (Ind.) College March 14. Albion will play eight doubleheaders against its Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association rivals during the month of April.
