Cass wins own invitational

Host Cassopolis, White Pigeon and Mendon all finished with 3-1 records Saturday at the Cassopolis Colossal Duals.

The Rangers kept the championship trophy as they scored the most points in the tournament, which was used as the tiebreaker.

Bridgman went 1-3 and Benton Harbor Countryside 0-4.

The Rangers defeated White Pigeon (42-24), lost to Mendon (43-30), defeated Bridgman (49-24) and defeated Countryside (46-12).

Going undefeated for the Rangers were Khalil Brown (112), Zack Newton (160), Ian Montgomery (171) and Dominic Forbes (189). Finishing the day with a 3-1 record were Tyler Butrick (130) and David Sopaseuth (145).
